I HATE BLACK FRIDAY AT WALMART

Posted in Group:

well i got on my fb this morning and heard from a friend that someone punched someone in the face over a game and there were cops and employees everywhere. there was one year when an employee opened the doors and the customers trampled him to death. that is so sad and rediculous. when we die the items arent going with us. they are just material things and christmas isnt about presents. i didnt go because i didnt want to deal with all that and my anxiety levels would have been high. i have had people ram their carts in my back. i dont think there should be a black friday anymore. it has gotten uglier.

i agree with you both. i dont go to them anymore. its not worth it. all i see is greed when i watch what happened this year. its terrible. there was a woman who peppered sprayed customers around her because people were getting on top of her child and her. i honestly dont blame her for that because people will run your children over to they dont care. then there was a guy who tried to rob this woman after she got out of the store her friends were around her and he shot her. i dont know if he got anything or not but it is just getting worse and worse.

lots of love.......Ashley

The retail expectations are ridiculous for both consumers and employees. Employees are expected to work outrageous hours and consumers are basically tricked into risky situations just to save a little money. I wonder if people even stop to consider if the risk is worth the reward. Unfortunately, it's economics. Retailers have to meet demands, and black Friday gives them the boost they need to make up the deficit left by the slow summer shopping season. I hate that the holidays are exploited to do so, but I think it's only going to get worse with time. I hope the rest of the season goes well for you all!

I worked at Wallyworld on Black Friday, I was given permission to leave before it got too bad. Still ran out of that store because of how many people there were.

In New Jersey an older woman got sick of waiting in line, so she pepper sprayed about 15 people. The cops didn't get there in time to arrest her and at my store a couple of children got pushed away from their parents.

It really is worth it.
